Smeg introduces white induction hobs for Spring

Smeg has unveiled a new crisp white finish on its popular MultiZone induction hobs, just in time for Spring.

Ideal for homeowners looking to create a bright kitchen space, white appliances lend themselves to a minimalist environment due to the product’s light and clean finish. These new hobs have been specifically designed with white surfaces and high gloss kitchens in mind, both popular choices in today’s kitchen market.

The SI2M7643DW 60cm and SI2M7953DW 90cm hobs epitomise the very best of Italian design. Combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional performance and a glossy, polished aesthetic, this new pair of hobs make a welcome addition to urban and city kitchens. The new white finishes also complement a variety of Smeg’s existing products, from kettles to cookers, enabling people to create a uniform look and feel at home.

Available in two sizes to suit the majority of spaces, these new hobs feature slider touch controls which are easy to use and quick to respond. With an impressive 14 power levels to choose from, users can enjoy even greater precision and accurate temperature control than ever before.

Both hobs also feature induction technology which works by heating the base of the pan using a magnetic field. This is also the fastest cooking method around, with it taking just a minute to heat a pint of water. Cool down time is also much quicker in comparison to a ceramic hob. Induction hobs also provide a safe cooking environment in the kitchen as the hob itself does not get hot. Another excellent benefit of induction cooking is that it only uses a much energy required providing great energy savings.

Smeg’s latest hobs also feature ingenious MultiZone technology. First introduced by the brand in 2012, this technology allows for truly flexible cooking – simply place any pan, anywhere on the hob. The hob will detect the size and perimeter of the pan and heat up accordingly, optimising heat distribution and demonstrating exceptional energy efficiency.
