The Magnesium RS from Oreck is claimed to be the lightest bagged upright vacuum cleaner on the UK market.
It also promises to be durable, as the magnesium frame has a six-year guarantee. With 100mph airflow, combined with a roller brush rotating at more than 7,000rpm, it draws dirt into a 10-litre bag.
Said to capture 99 per cent of dirt, it automatically seals dust in. The self-cleaning system also keeps the dust locked inside making it easier to clean. It is available for around £299.99.
