Whirlpool refreshes its line of FreshCare+ washing machines

Whirlpool has introduced its updated range of FreshCare+ washing machines with an improved design and brand new features – Steam Refresh and Steam Hygiene.

The brand new machine offers a generous 9kg capacity, plus 6TH SENSE technology and the FreshCare+ system, which is designed to keep laundry fresh even hours after the wash programme has finished.

Research found that 70 per cent of consumers do not unload their washing machine immediately after the cycle has ended, and half wash their clothes again due to the poor odour. FreshCare+ continues to tumble garments after washing, for up to six hours, keeping them feeling and smelling fresh.

In addition, the new Steam Refresh feature penetrates fibres in the garments, freshening up laundry in just 20 minutes, removing odours and reducing creasing.

Hygiene is a high priority for consumers and being able to sanitise garments is more important than ever. The redesigned Whirlpool FreshCare+ washing machine has the brand new Steam Hygiene option. At the end of the cycle this fills the drum with steam, maintaining a temperature between 70 and 80 degrees for 30 minutes, removing up to 99.9 per cent of the most common bacteria from the load.

Also available in capacities of seven and 8kg, the FreshCare+ range of washing machines has been redesigned to offer improved programme visibility and ease of setting, thanks to the enhanced display graphics, while the Flowbar provides users with instant feedback on the progress of the wash programme.

Charmaine Warner, Brand Manager at Whirlpool, said: “We’ve redesigned our FreshCare+ washing machines based on consumers’ washing behaviours and the increasing need for hygiene at home. The new range combines superior performance with our intuitive 6TH SENSE technology to offer consumers a washing machine to meet the needs of their busy lifestyles.”
