Samsung’s latest eco-friendly laundry and refrigerator products

Samsung has announced the global launch of a new fully smart laundry line-up and a fridge freezer.

Heading up the new laundry line is the WW9800T washing machine that helps to cut down on wash times and energy consumption while providing users with a personalised laundry experience. The new range will first launch in the European market and will expand globally later this year.

Firstly, Samsung’s QuickDrive technology allows the WW9800T to cut washing time to 39 minutes for a full clean and the Digital Inverter Compressor adds to energy efficiency by utilising strong magnets for a quiet and strong performance.

The new washing machines also come with Samsung’s ecobubble technology that maximises the effect of detergent by turning it into soft bubbles – allowing for faster penetration into fabrics, even in cold water. Colder washes save heating energy, while also protecting the fabrics and colours of garments.

Smart Control + is another key feature, which learns users’ behavioural patterns to recommend cycles and offer a personalised laundry experience. All of the appliances in Samsung’s new laundry line-up are compatible with SmartThings, offering users control over laundry settings from their smartphone and features like Laundry Planner and Laundry Recipe to customise laundry routines.

Elsewhere, the new RB7300 refrigerator from Samsung delivers core cooling performance while offering large, flexible capacity to meet all types of food storage needs.

Also boasting a contemporary look with stainless-steel finish and sleek flat front, the RB7300 will first launch in Europe in August this year.

Thanks to the manufacturer’s SpaceMax Technology, the new RB7300 maximises fridge space with much thinner interior walls due to its high-efficiency insulation that provides a greater internal capacity of 386L – 18 litres larger than the previous model.

The new refrigerator is also designed to preserve the freshness of food items for twice as long, with a split drawer into two zones with different temperatures – or as use as one. The left side is cooler, so it’s optimised for meat and fish storage, while the right side is great for fruit and vegetables.

The new model ensures that all stored food is properly cooled no matter where it’s placed within the refrigerator. Equipped with the most popular Samsung refrigeration technology features, the new fridge is decked out with All Around Cooling for maximum freshness.

In addition, the compressor for the RB7300 automatically adjusts its speed based on cooling demand across seven levels, thus requiring less energy, minimising noise, and even reducing wear and tear for a durable, long-lasting performance.

The RB7300 refrigerator and new laundry line-up will be featured at Samsung’s ‘Life Unstoppable’ virtual event on 2 September.
