New UL20 4K HDR TV model from Toshiba

Toshiba has announced the new Toshiba TV UL20 4K HDR TV model available in a range of sizes from 43 to 65-inches and starting at £299.

With HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision technology, as well as Toshiba’s own TRU Picture Engine technology, the UL20 – which is currently only available from select retailers including Amazon, AO, Currys or Very – provides ultravivid picture quality with highlights up to 40 times brighter and blacks 10 times darker compared to a standard picture, the manufacturer said.

The TRU Picture Engine enhances the viewing experience with upscaling and smoother, more detailed images. Micro Dimming technology gives dynamic contrast performance while TRU Flow smooth motion technology is ideal for sports fans – when the action comes thick and fast the powerful MEMC technology removes the judder effect and produces a smooth, crisp image.

Toshiba UL20’s impactful cinematic audio, powered by Dolby Audio processing, provides an enhanced experience whatever you’re watching with a richer, clearer and more powerful audio experience.

Not only that, but the UL20’s Linux-based OS works with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa enabled devices so you can control the TV with your voice. There’s also plenty of smart content from Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video plus more than 20,000 hours of on-demand content.

Bart Kuijten, Commercial Director at Toshiba UK, commented: “The new UL20 offers big screen 4K HDR moments for everyone. The new models are packed with technology to enhance the viewing experience; smooth picture quality for high-speed sport action, the latest 4K with brighter colours and darker blacks, or enhanced sound when watching a Hollywood action blockbuster.

“Connecting to an Alexa or Google Assistant device also lets you control the TV with your voice and can make it the centre of the connected living room.”
