New glass-fronted fridge freezers from Hoover

Hoover has launched two new 60cm glass-fronted total no-frost fridge freezers.

There has been a growing demand for cooling appliances during COVID-19 and, with the key buying period upon us, Hoover is bringing new models to the market.

With a capacity of 219L and available in two colourways, white and graphite, the appliances combine high-end style with technological innovations.

The fridge-freezer category continues to dominate the market, accounting for 34 per cent of sales in 2019 and 40 per cent of all MDA products purchased in the last three years.

The energy efficient (A+) models have been designed with total no-frost technology which prevents frost build up by circulating cold air produced in the freezer around the fridge cavity.

The models also benefit from a fast-freeze function which can save 25 per cent in freezing time and reduce thermal shock. This can occur when a food is exposed to a rapid temperature change causing structural stress and irreversibly. The in-built fast-freeze function reduces the shock and preserves food taste and texture.

Both models (HFDG 6182W and HFDG 6182MAN) have been developed to provide optimum internal storage and stand at 186cm tall.

Steve Macdonald, Business Director, Freestanding Division at Hoover Candy UK, said: “Our latest cooling launches offer the very best in style and technology and are the culmination of our continued commitment to innovation.

“Fridge freezers are usually the largest appliance in the kitchen, so it’s important for them to do their job well, but look good too. Just because an appliance is a necessity, doesn’t mean it can’t add a different dimension to the home and as we head toward the summer, a key buying period, people need to consider whether their existing model is up to the job.”
