Caple’s new stylish Vela island hood

Caple has unveiled its new Vela cooker hood, which comes in three finishes – copper and gold reflect the trend for metallics in the home, while matt black is rising in demand for state-of-the-art kitchen furniture, sinks, taps and appliances.

This extractor features an attractive Halo LED light which creates an even stronger style statement. It also features cutting-edge Plasma technology, too, where the air is purified and any odours are eliminated.

Product Manager Luke Shipway explained: “Our DD940BK induction downdraft is the only other appliance to feature this innovative extraction method in the UK. Now, due to popular demand and experiencing all the results this extractor can achieve, we’ve introduced this to our new Vela. This island hood is perfect for those who want to choose from a variety of colour ways and they are looking for an extractor, which works incredibly well, making this the perfect choice for open-plan living.”

The motor on the Vela hood draws air through ducting towards the Plasma filter where the air is purified and cleaned, eradicating 95 per cent of odours, the manufacturer claims. Then a carbon filter catches anything remaining, which extends the life of the charcoal filter from six months to five years (carbon filters are used as standard in extraction).

With three speeds, there is a hidden electrical connection and an adjustable height (at a minimum of 590cm from the ceiling) allows for both standard and tall ceilings, making this new island hood even more versatile for installation.
