Candy reveals new-look laundry models

Candy has launched a brand-new washing machine offering what is said to be the world’s most eco-friendly A-class programme.

Fast by name and fast by nature, Candy Rapid’Ó has been developed from consumer insights from the Candy Simply-Fi app which revealed that 65 per cent of customers were using quick washes.

The model includes nine quick wash programmes, from 14 to 60 minutes, the widest and highest door and a Smart Console, which allow users to easily manage programmes, as well as the loading and unloading operations.

Another feature of the Rapid’Ó is its ‘Snap&Wash’ function, which recommends the best and fastest programme from a photo of the load taken in front of the appliance on the Candy Simply-Fi app.

Available in 9kg and 10kg models, the A+++ Candy Rapid’Ó can be voice-controlled – with the help of Google Home and Amazon Alexa digital butlers – or remotely via the Candy simply-Fi App, which offers a wide range of useful and exclusive extra functions.

The Rapid’Ó launched alongside a number of other new products with Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communications) technology, offering control through a smartphone, tablet, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Available in white, black and graphite colourways, the products are quieter and more energy efficient thanks to an inverter motor controlled by frictionless magnets, rather than belts, chains and brushes.

These new products follow on from the recent launch of the Candy 8kg heat pump tumble dryer. With NFC technology, the same used for contactless payments, it provides energy-efficient drying by operating at temperatures 30 per cent lower than conventional dryers. The appliance also features Candy’s Easy Case technology, where condensed water is collected within the in-door canister, so it’s easy to see when it needs emptying.
