Whirlpool UK named top employer for fourth year in a row

Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited has been named the Top Employer for the fourth consecutive year in the UK.

The Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid parent company was certified by the Top Employer Institute for 2021.

In addition, Whirlpool EMEA was also awarded Top Employer Europe, having been certified in five countries (UK, France, Italy, Poland and Russia).

This recognition showcases an organisation’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent HR policies and people practices.

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being, diversity and inclusion, and more.

Andrzej Tuleja, General Manager, UK and Ireland, Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised as a Top Employer once more. Our colleagues are integral to our business and ensuring we provide a safe working environment that supports and nurtures our colleagues is of utmost importance.

“2020 was an unprecedented year for us all; we are therefore delighted that 2021 has started with an amazing recognition of the hard work and dedication that Whirlpool invests in its colleagues for now, and the future.”

Top Employers Institute CEO, David Plink, added: “Despite the challenging year we have experienced (which has certainly made an impact on organisations around the globe), Whirlpool UK has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace.”
