TVD launches Mitchell & Brown TV brand

Bolton-based electrical wholesaler TVD has launched a new TV brand called Mitchell & Brown.

The family-run company, which describes itself as “one of the UK’s largest specialist suppliers of TVs, audio systems, white goods and small appliances”, has developed the Mitchell & Brown brand to tie in with its 20th anniversary, which was earlier this year.

The range will comprise LED TVs from 24in to 65in and will be covered by a seven-year, parts-and-labour warranty.

Features will include T2 Freeview HD, smart functionality, 4K UHD, a built-in DVD player and Freeview Play.

Said a spokesman for TVD: “We have carefully selected our highest-quality TV range and we are a well-established family UK company and a trusted supplier.

“Mitchell & Brown is one of the most exciting new brands in consumer electronics. We offer the latest technology and great designs at affordable prices. Mitchell & Brown TVs are manufactured by Europe’s largest TV maker, created by people with a passion for quality and service. Our TVs go through rigorous quality control processes that result in excellent quality assurance.”

TVD was established in 1996 by the late Jim Brown and his sons Matthew and Daniel.

The Mitchell & Brown brand is named after Jim Brown and his mother’s maiden name.

The business started out in a store in Knowsley Street, Bolton, but following a period of growth and success, relocated into purpose-built offices at The Valley, on the outskirts of the town centre. It has over 19,000 sq ft of warehouse space.

To celebrate TVD’s 20th anniversary, the company recently held a charity golf day and gala dinner at the Worsley Marriott Hotel and Country Club, near Manchester.

The event was supported by a large number of TVD’s suppliers and local business partners.

More than £22,000 was raised for three charities – Bolton Hospice, Bolton Wanderers Community Trust and When You Wish Upon A Star.
