TRIC to hold Virtual Summer Drinks event
This summer, TRIC, the Television and Radio Industries Club, is hosting a Virtual Summer Drinks Evening to announce its new President.
On Thursday 2 July 2020, the industry is invited online to join current TRIC President, Lorraine Kelly, TRIC Chair, Jane Ostler and TV personality John Barrowman for an entertaining and interactive hour of fun and virtual drinks.
Lorraine Kelly will be chatting to John and will take live questions from attendees. There will also be a mystery guest and, of course, the welcoming of the next President of TRIC, along with hearing about the charities they wish to support over the next 12 months.
The event goes live at 5pm on Thursday 2 July. You can register via the link below. Then grab a drink and switch on your computer/tablet ready to be welcomed by Lorraine Kelly.
The Television and Radio Industries Club
TRIC’s continued success and growing reputation for unrivalled corporate entertaining provides a tremendous springboard to industry networking and collaboration.
The Club was formed in 1931 in the early days of broadcasting as the ‘Radio Industries Club’. Its aim today is to promote mutual understanding, goodwill and networking amongst those engaged in the technology and related industries, by holding high-profile events, and in doing so to raise money for the good causes nominated by TRIC.
It is also best known for hosting the famous TRIC Awards around March time every year in London. This ultra glamourous ceremony brings the industry together to celebrate the UK’s favourite television and radio programmes and personalities.
Winners from this year’s TRIC Awards included Ant and Dec for TV Personalities and BBC Radio 1’s Greg James for Radio Personality. Winning programmes included Gavin & Stacey – for Entertainment Programme – as well as Strictly Come Dancing, The Great British Bake Off and Killing Eve, while the TRIC Special Award went to Newsnight.
