Talking Pictures TV joins Freesat

Freesat, the subscription free TV service, has announced the launch of independent archive film and TV channel Talking Pictures TV.

The channel is available from today on channel 306 and is free to view. Talking Pictures TV covers films from all genres, stretching back to the 1930s, including westerns, comedy, thrillers, horror, romance and drama.

Said Jennifer Elworthy, director of marketing and communications at Freesat: “Film is a popular genre for Freesat customers, so we’re delighted to welcome Talking Pictures TV to the platform. The new channel further dispels the myth that film channels are only available on pay TV. We’re committed to offer customers great choice, and the best subscription free service in the UK.”

Talking Pictures TV managing director Sarah Cronin-Stanley said: “Talking Pictures TV are delighted to be launching on Freesat. Our channel is filling a much-needed gap for Britain’s older demographic and film lovers alike, and Freesat is an excellent match for our channel.”
