Sound United’s Jason Dear becomes VP of European Commercial Operations
“Sound United continues to experience rapid growth and development across the audio industry,” said Blair Tripodi, Chief Commercial Officer for Sound United. “To support regional team development, and service our dealers the best way we know how, we have been on the lookout for the right candidate to oversee our EU Commercial Operations team.
“After an exhaustive search across the region, we were very pleased to find the best candidate had been on our team all along. We are confident Jason will continue to lead our European business on its upward trajectory and are excited to see him grow.”
Mr Dear has been part of the Sound United family of brands since 2006, when he was brought on to lead the Marantz business in the UK. After holding roles at Sound United in the UK and Ireland, he briefly left the company to join Bowers & Wilkins as the European Channel Lead. When Sound United completed its acquisition of Bowers & Wilkins late last year, Mr Dear resumed his leadership role in the UK as General Manager for all Sound United brands.
Over the years, he has built a great reputation as a strong commercial operator, leader, and respected partner to Sound United’s dealers, press and internal stakeholders, the company said.
Mr Dear added: “I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running, focusing on the development and management of the general business activities for all Sound United brands in Europe.
“Re-joining the Sound United team felt like coming home. I couldn’t be happier to play an even bigger part in our continuing growth and look forward to maximising the many opportunities and facing the challenges of our new world head-on.”
Sound United is the parent company to Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Classé, and Boston Acoustics.
