New Roon hardware to be distributed by Henley Audio

US audio software brand Roon Labs has announced a partnership with UK distributor Henley Audio for its first foray into hardware.

Roon’s Nucleus and Nucleus+ audio servers are now available from Henley Audio.

The products can be used to manage music from hard drives and NAS, or streaming content, and allow users to play music on almost all audio devices within the home.

Roon claimed the new products offer a unique opportunity for the custom install market, as the devices function as a server that can be used with a wide range of different devices, conveniently delivering complex, multi-room, high-performance audio.

The company confirmed that the Nucleus and Nucleus+ would have drivers for popular home automation systems Creston and Control4.

Said Steve Silberman, vice president of sales for Roon Labs: “Roon Labs is proud to be partnered with Henley Audio, an organisation that understands and supports the needs of the specialist audio retailer.

“Henley Audio brings an unrivalled level of expertise and support to the marketplace. Roon’s vast network of interoperable hardware partners requires a distributor with the agility and resources to work with a wide array of retailers and custom integration specialists.”

Added Laurence Armstrong, managing director of Henley Audio: “We’re thrilled to be working with Steve and the whole Roon Labs team. Roon has entered the hi-fi market with great success, and made a huge impact as the only viable solution for true high-fidelity multi-room audio without the need to be bound to a single manufacturer’s hardware.

“We’re delighted to help push the brand forward in the UK market, through our distribution of the Nucleus and Nucleus+ servers. We believe Roon gives audio lovers the freedom to choose the music and the hardware that suits their individual tastes and needs.”
