New Hughes Trade appointment

In response to an ever-growing demand from its business customers to rent electrical items, Hughes Trade has appointed Nick Thorby to its specialist Business Rental team.

He brings plenty of experience to his new role as he spent five years helping retail rental customers at the Hughes Store in central Norwich.

There is an increasing demand in renting equipment because it offers so many advantages for businesses, such as managing cash flow and taking the worry out of anything going wrong, plus for most it is 100 per cent tax deductible. There can also be flexibility over the length of the rental agreement.

Although based in Norwich, Nick Thorby and the rest of the skilled Business Rental team, will be looking after customers across the UK who will be served from Hughes Trade’s regional depots in the likes of Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds.

Said Mr Thorby: “I am really looking forward to my new role, helping businesses get the right equipment for their needs. In addition to traditional products we are seeing an ever increasing demand to rent items used for conferencing, network solutions, digital signage, and CCTV, all of which we can supply and install.”

Hughes Trade is the B2B division of Hughes Electrical, specialising in the supply of a wide range of electrical products to trade and businesses across the UK. Products range from the latest cutting-edge audio visual and IT technology to essential kitchen appliances and everything in-between.

It was started in 2007 and currently has 8,500 active accounts operating from its branches throughout the country with over 50 members of staff.
