New head of customer service for Hoover Candy

Domestic appliance manufacturer the Hoover Candy Group has appointed a new head of customer service operations at its centre in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

With experience spanning almost three decades, including leading customer service teams for British Gas, BSkyB and Boohoo, Angela Wallace (pictured) will lead the company’s 120-strong workforce, which handles incoming enquiries for the Hoover, Candy and Baumatic brands.

Reporting to operations director Andy Lane, Ms Wallace’s remit includes customer service, spares, contracts, key accounts and the training team.

Commenting on her appointment, she said: “The business is passionate about offering great service and caring for its customers, which is a perfect fit for me. I believe that people do business with people, not brands. Working with my team in Bolton, I am confident we can deliver an exceptional service with a fully-engaged team.”

Ms Wallace added: “My vision is to put my experience and passion into creating an outstanding customer experience through a switched-on workforce that will deliver incredible results for the business and to make Hoover Candy an industry leader in service.”

Said Mr Lane: “Even though the group is more than 100 years old, it has never stopped evolving and there’s a lot of innovative and stylish products launching in the coming months, so Angela has joined us at an exciting time.

“We’re sure that her knowledge, experience and customer service acumen will prove to be invaluable to the team and help it to realise and achieve its full potential.”
