Exertis has announced the appointment of Caroline Hope (left) as Commercial Director for Consumer Products, reporting to Mike Buley, Managing Director, Exertis Consumer.
In this role, she will have overall responsibility for the consumer, Smart Tech and commodity networking business units.
“I am delighted to announce the promotion of Caroline to the position of consumer commercial director,” commented Mr Buley. “She has consistently grown her business units at Exertis and has been an instrumental part of the team that has made us an industry leader in the Smart Tech category.
“Caroline will undoubtedly bring a positive, collaborative and service orientated approach to this role, as she has demonstrated in the past, by maintaining long-lasting and high value relationships with her vendors, customers and colleagues.”
Ms Hope has worked at Exertis for the past seven years, initially as the General Manager responsible for the consumer division but, most recently, also setting up and managing the commodity network and Smart Tech areas. Prior to that, she spent nearly five years at Tech Data in sales and business development roles and a further five years in account management roles with resellers.
“I’m incredibly excited to take on the role of commercial director for the consumer IT pillar,” she said. “I truly believe in the value of partnerships with our brands and customers, I’m looking forward to continuing this and building upon these over the coming years in my new role.
“It’s a challenging time in retail but we have opportunities to exploit, particularly in helping our customers to take advantage of the connected home and enabling them to use our specialist retail services to enhance their business.”
