Meters Music announces new distribution partners to expand retail presence

Meters Music is developing its retail presence across the UK, US and Benelux with new distribution partners.

Having launched its flagship aptX HD wireless headphones earlier this year, the OV-1-B-Connect, and its brand new gaming headset, Level Up, the British music and audio manufacturer has now partnered with Thames Distribution and Jam Industries. This strategic move will open new retail doors across the focus territories, the company said, supporting future growth plans.

Appointed exclusively to handle the UK and Benelux regions, Thames Distribution will provide Meters with new channels to distribute and launch products in to. They will be executing a thorough commercial and strategic plan to develop the audio brand’s presence.

Meanwhile, the new venture with Jam Industries will see the development of a retail strategy to support the growth of Meters across the US, focusing on current products but also new innovations due to be released.

Both partnerships will provide Meters with access to new retail partners in these regions, especially with a pipeline of new products due to launch next year.

Introduced earlier this year, Meters launched its flagship headphones, the OV-1-B-Connect. It features both wireless aptX HD Bluetooth technology and a high-quality active noise-cancelling (ANC) function. Its signature design is the fully functioning VU meters positioned on both sides of the headphones – pictured above, modelled by Simon Neil from the band Biffy Clyro.

Ashdown Engineering, the team behind Meters Music, manufactures guitar and bass amplifiers and has supplied stars such as Sir Paul McCartney, U2, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, System of a Down and many more, for 25 years.

The company said that 2021 will see a range of “exciting product releases” from Meters.
