LG has partnered with UK drum and bass record label Hospital Records for the launch of its new range of portable XBOOM Go speakers.
The collaboration will see the Korean electronics brand work with well-known artists in the UK dance music scene, Fred V & Grafix, to create a music track and video to engage with consumers.
LG’s new line-up of speakers is fitted with party lighting, which automatically responds to the beat of the music. Other features include water-resistant capabilities and a Grab-N-Go X-Grip design to improve portability. The products also incorporate sound technology from British audio brand Meridian.
Said Darren Petersen, head of product marketing and partnerships at LG UK:“We’re very excited to be working with Hospital Records, a label we appreciate has some of the most promising talent in the increasingly popular drum and bass music industry. Collaborating with the label’s artists to launch the XBOOM Go speakers provides a great opportunity for us to engage with this audience in a new and exciting way, and we look forward to maximising the partnership.”
LG has also partnered with streaming service Tidal for a summer promotion. Purchasers of the LG WK7 ThinQ speaker will be entitled to a six-month free subscription to Tidal.
Customers will have access to thousands of high-resolution audio tracks on the Meridian-tailored and high resolution audio-supportive WK7 ThinQ speaker.
