Jessops ends the year with 50th store opening

Jessops has opened its 50th store, rounding off a successful year for the photographic retailer.

It has seen a number of expansions in 2015, including a new flagship location in Norwich, a return to Preston, and a partnership with Sainsbury’s that saw franchises brought to 11 supermarkets.

In December alone, Jessops opened three new shops in Exeter, Cambridge and Bristol, with the retailer saying it has more planned for 2016.

Neil Old, chief executive of Jessops, said: “The opening of Jessops at Emersons Green concludes a very successful year for Jessops. In 2015, our vision has been executed perfectly with 14 new store openings, allowing us to bring our fantastic service to even more customers around the country. We are incredibly excited to be expanding the business, and at the same time reassured by winning several customer voted awards which shows our on-going commitment to making sure every shopping experience is unforgettable.”
