Indie retailers benefit from Montpellier partnerships

FMC Appliances is the latest independent retailer in Northern Ireland to become a Montpellier Specialist Centre

FMC Appliances, based in Dunloy, Northern Ireland, has further enhanced its offering of Montpellier domestic appliances by becoming a Specialist Centre, with over 70 Montpellier products on display.

Finbarr Cochrane, Founder of the company, said: “Montpellier as a brand continues to grow in popularity with customers, owing to its excellent value and competitive price point. It therefore felt like the right time to reflect that on the shop floor, and confidently turnover is up 330 per cent compared to the same period last year.

“My passion is offering a face-to-face service and showing the features and benefits of products to customers who visit. A high number of my clientele are the older generation, who prefer a hands-on approach when purchasing appliances, so it is great to be able to do this with the Montpellier range.

Mr Cochrane continued: “We also have a 26-inch bespoke Wi-Fi tablet system in store so customers can view products. For me, offering a personal service alongside a good quality product means the customer is happy and they are more likely to return again.”

With 31 years in the industry, Mr Cochrane also offers unique store opening times to allow customers to visit the store around work commitments. Similarly, with deliveries, the retailer’s standard delivery timeframe across the whole of Northern Ireland is between 9am to 9pm, including same day.


Martin Dawes wows with a new-look Montpellier Centre

Martin Dawes, based in Warrington, Cheshire, is the latest retail store to add a Montpellier Centre.

Phil Williams, Head of Retail said: “Martin Dawes has been selling and renting white goods since the 1960s and are delighted to add Montpellier to their range of products.

“The shop refit has added a different dimension to their install display and has already generated plenty of interest and sales as an alternative to the other well-known brands.”
