Humax reveals new training programme for indies
Digital set-top box and smart-home solutions manufacturer Humax has announced an online staff training programme for retailers who stock its Humax Eye Night/Day HD Cloud Camera.
The security camera provides a 100-degree field of view, with users able to watch live or recorded footage on a smartphone, tablet or Humax PVR.
To participate, individual staff members can register on the Humax website. They will then complete four interactive online modules and will also be in with a chance of winning a prize draw – which includes a Humax FVP-4000T 1TB Freeview Play PVR, two Humax Eye cameras and other products worth more than £550.
The training programme has been developed by retail training experts T21.
Graham North, vice-president sales at Humax, said: “By 2020, the smart-home category will be worth £30 billion a year, and we would encourage retailers to embrace this phenomenon by stocking intelligent solutions such as this. The Humax Eye ensures that valuable property is protected, and is a secure, reliable and accessible way to keep check on activity within the home or office. Our detailed training programme will allow retailers to engage with their customers with in-depth knowledge of the product, to deliver complete satisfaction and allow customers to feel comfortable with the features immediately after purchase.”
T21 managing director Paul Laville added: “As the smart-home category grows and more connected product enters the market, so education through staff training becomes increasingly essential. As lovers of new technologies, we were delighted to be invited by Humax to put together this online learning platform for the Humax Eye: it is the perfect way for staff to learn about this amazing camera’s key features, quickly and simply. Staff will also be able to access FAQs, technical information and product videos all within the platform, and have a bit of fun too scoring points and earning badges to enter the prize draw.”
