Hughes Electrical unveils new store design after huge investment

Hughes Electrical is continuing its programme of investment in its stores; the company has just completed a £50,000 month-long refit of its Hunstanton branch.

Improvements were made to the layout and display areas at the High Street store in order to display a much bigger variety of products while also giving customers a better shopping experience.

A brand new area has been created to showcase built-in appliances, which have recently seen a surge in demand.

In line with current guidelines distance markers and arrows have also been put on the floor.

Shop Manager, Mark Page, who has been in the electrical retail business in Hunstanton for over 40 years, said: “With the work having been planned for some time, lockdown meant we were able to do it without inconveniencing customers – who we have been delighted to now welcome back and get their feedback on the changes.”

Mr Page is supported by two other long-serving staff members – Senior Sales Assistant, Nigel Jeavons, and Sales Assistant, Aled Partin.

Added Hughes Managing Director, Mark Wardell: “We remain committed to serving the local community of Hunstanton where we have operated for nearly 30 years. This investment shows our desire to remain part of its high street and play our role in its successful future.

“Mark and the team do an amazing job and it is only right we give them the best possible environment to demonstrate our ever increasing range of products.

“Our 32 shops across seven counties in England remain a vital part of our business model and we will continue to invest in them.”
