Household chores are a big cause of domestic disputes, with one in three people reporting them as a cause of arguments, new research has revealed.
A survey conducted by Censuswide on behalf of home appliance manufacturer Hoover, looked at 1,000 households. It unveiled that 20 per cent of us say we don’t trust others to do chores correctly, rising to 70 per cent when it comes to loading the dishwasher.
Steve Macdonald, marketing director of Hoover’s freestanding division, said: “Household chores are something we all have to do, however this survey has revealed just how many arguments are still caused by these every-day tasks.
“With one in five respondents saying that they don’t trust others to do chores correctly, it seems we believe that if you want something doing well, you’ve got to do it yourself.”
