Hitachi premium fridges land with retailers

The first phase of the roll-out of new Hitachi premium refrigeration has taken place, with 30 Euronics dealers now stocking the new range. 

This follows a series of Road Show events in Bristol, London and Birmingham organised by Big Red Sales in conjunction with Hitachi. The next part of the campaign has been brought forward, which will see another 20-30 key retailers around the country adding the product to their range.

One of those is Carter’s of Sussex, which has six shops across the county and one of the largest refrigeration showrooms in in the area.

With premium refrigeration manufacturers such as LG, Bosch, Rangemaster, Smeg and Fisher and Paykel already on board, Managing Director Robert Carter admitted: “I wasn’t too sure when I was invited to the Big Red Sales/Hitachi Road Show because I thought we already had enough models. However, when I saw the products with their unique features I thought that Hitachi would be a very good fit. The new products offer us an exciting opportunity to show something very different to our customers.”

Mr Carter’s wife, Jessica, agreed: “While a lot of people go on price there are certain customers who want the top of the range. And these Hitachi models are certainly that. They really stand out from the other premium models we sell.”

Mrs Carter said she particularly likes the fact that the models are handle-free. “A lot of kitchens are now handle-less with white or grey glass features, so the Hitachi models fit in well. In addition to looking very high-end, they also offer unique benefits such as the vacuum compartment for food – which no one else offers. Hitachi is also one of the few companies to offer a special glass finish.”

The new special edition Hitachi refrigeration models offer features such as auto touch door opening, front touch screen control and stunning glass finish doors. They are all backed by a five-year guarantee.

Big Red Sales is heading up this campaign around the UK through its association with Euronics.
