Haier shows first built-in range at IFA

Haier used the IFA show in Berlin (September 2-7) to make its move into the built-in appliance market.

It launched a line-up of new built-in ovens and hobs that it said are “beautifully designed and easy to use”.

Finished in matt black or stainless steel, the new range is designed to match Haier’s refrigerator line-up. Hobs are available in gas or induction variants.

The oven range has an auto-cook function that allows the user to select the type of food and leave the rest to the appliance. It will set temperature and cooking time. They are also said to have ergonomic controls and aluminium handles, while the doors have soft-close hinges. The oven shelves are fully extendable to ease the removal of cooked dishes.

Haier’s aim with the range was to offer simplicity with foolproof features and minimal maintenance. They offer self-cleaning through the use of pyrolytic, catalytic and hydrolytic technology. Energy ratings are A or A+

Said Yannick Fierling, chief executive of Haier Europe: “We wanted to complete our line of modern, high-tech kitchen appliances and complement the kitchen centrepiece, the refrigerator, by diversifying into an exciting new product category. Haier’s new range of built-in ovens and hobs is designed to fuel creativity and enables users to master their culinary ambitions. Haier’s full suite of appliances integrate perfectly into any kitchen with their trademark quality and creative design to meet the most exacting consumer demands.”
