Home appliances manufacturer, Haier, has made a positive step in working in “the new normal” post UK lockdown and under the new restrictions.
The brand’s ambassadors have returned to three John Lewis stores in London – Brent Cross, Oxford Street and Bristol Cribbs. Their brief is “to help win the hearts and minds at retail”, the company said, to deliver expert knowledge to consumers and provide assurance for safely choosing a new home appliance for their kitchen.
Haier’s in-store teams will be following all the government’s guidelines to ensure a safe shopping experience and providing safe demonstrations from a two metre distance.
They will also help with the “re-building of brand loyalty”, the manufacturer said, and in re-connecting retail and consumers and delivering confidence that shopping can be a different but altogether safer environment for everyone.
Haier product ranges in John Lewis currently include the eight, 10 and 12kg I-Pro Series 7 (979 series) washing machine range, and the Cube cooling range including the HTF-508DGS7.
This news comes after recent data showed that city centre shopping locations, including many parts of London, have struggled to attract footfall following the COVID-19 lockdown.
John Lewis also announced earlier this year that eight of its UK stores would be closing for good, including its At Home shop in Croydon, South London, and its full size department stores in Birmingham and Watford.
