ERT Turning Point Live! – the unique event designed to highlight the very best of independent electrical retail – has unveiled its first speakers.
The event, which incorporates the ERT Awards 2018, will be held on October 1 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in central London.
The Turning Point sessions will feature real retailers telling their own stories about changing and adapting their business.
Already signed up are ERT’s Adopted Turning Point business Trafalgar Electronics in Rugby, as well as Superfi in Nottingham, who will be discussing how they’re approaching the smart home.
Spiritland Headphone Bar in Mayfair London will be talking through the success they’ve had with events and experiential retail.
And Herbert Todd and Son from York, and Purewell Electrical in Christchurch, will be outlining five things you can do tomorrow to change your business.
“There’s a fantastic line-up of retailers coming together for ERT Turning Point Live,” said event host and ERT editor Sean Hannam.
“We’ll be announcing more retailers with great stories to tell, as well as our keynote speaker really soon, but we’ve already had a lot of enquiries so people really need to book their places now to make sure they don’t miss out.”
The event also includes the ERT Awards, where the 2018 winners will be revealed, as well as the ERT Pub Quiz and lunch.
Said Mr Hannam: “Our Turning Point initiative has been shaking up the independent electrical retail sector since its launch in February last year and now we’re combining it with the industry’s leading awards to create a vital new one-day event focused on the best of electrical retailing. It will be bigger and better than ever!
“ERT is perfectly positioned to debate the issues surrounding the future of electrical retailing and highlight those who are embracing change and going the extra mile to improve their businesses as our industry reaches a turning point.”
ERT Turning Point Live! and the ERT Awards are supported by Amdea, Blomberg, Electrical Safety First, Exertis, Freeview Play, Gekko, Hoover, Miele, Panasonic, Retra, Roberts and techUK.
