First Indulgence show a great success
The organisers of the first Indulgence Show at the Novotel London West hotel have heralded it as a great success and are already taking bookings for next year’s show.
With 135 exhibitors and 170 brands gathered together showing products from earphones to electric cars and wine, the show attracted 3,000 visitors across three days from October 14-16.
The show aimed to bring together the latest in hi-fi, portable audio and lifestyle ‘indulgences’.
Brands attending the show included Naim Audio, Kef, Devialet, PMC, B&W, Cyrus, Dynaudio and Quad.
As well as the expected hi-fi and audio products, car maker Tesla was showing off the new Model X SUV, Pieroth Wines was promoting tasting evenings and Maxburn Fitness made sure that visitors stayed healthy after all this indulgence.
Live music was a key element and the famous Marquee Club music venue chose the show for its relaunch. On Friday night an all-star band that previously played at the Wardour Street venue entertained show visitors.
There was also an exhibition of work from music photographer Ross Halfin.
The show also presented a programme of seminars, including an interview with music legends Gary Langan and Chris Kimsey about their lives in music producing and engineering the likes of Queen, Yes, David Bowie and The Rolling Stones.
Show organiser Vernon Hamblin said: “We couldn’t be happier with the first Indulgence Show. It’s been around 10 years since the capital has seen an audio show on the scale of this event and with the addition of the lifestyle elements we have created something that appeals to a new audience – something the hi-fi industry has needed for quite some time.”
He continued: “The reaction from the exhibitors has been stunning, with many positive comments coming in and confirmation of attendance at the next show. We are heartened by this and look forward to presenting an even bigger, better and more successful Indulgence Show in 2017.”
Co-organiser Amit Patel added: “We are particularly pleased with the efforts by many of the exhibitors to make their stands and rooms look very attractive, adding to the real sense of professionalism that the show portrayed. To name but a few, Kef, Dynaudio, Devialet and The Marquee Club were among those who went the extra mile and we really appreciate the hard work they put in.”
