Exertis appoints Programme Director

Exertis, a leading distributor of technology products for the B2B, mobile and retail markets, has announced the appointment of Howard Ingleby to the newly created position of programme director for the UK and Ireland.

Mr Ingleby (pictured) will report to Richard Hinds, Exertis, chief operating officer. In this role, he will be responsible for managing change and delivery of key strategic and infrastructure projects as the business continues along its transformation path to meet the growing and evolving needs of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Said Mr Hinds: “Managing change is a key process for all organisations and requires detailed planning, a methodical approach and engagement with different functions. Howard has extensive programme director and Programme Management Office (PMO) experience gained in a variety of industry sectors. He is ideally placed to lead and successfully implement the projects we plan to deliver, which will further improve productivity and efficiencies throughout our organisation, in addition to enhancing customer experience.”

Ingleby has worked in a variety of industry sectors, from insurance and engineering to plant hire, construction and management consultants, in change management and business transformation roles, most recently at Assurant and previously at British Engineering Services. He also spent six years as a programme director at Speedy Hire and a combined seven years with Deloitte and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

“I am delighted to be joining such a successful and rapidly expanding company with the opportunity to build a Programme Office and approach from the ground up. Given the high volume of projects on the go, it can be a challenge to manage, control, deliver change and realise the benefits without a co-ordinated and structured change management process and governance regime. Together with the existing Exertis teams working on delivering change, I’m confident that we can collectively build an approach that will be rapid, flexible and capable of delivering sustainable change that supports continued growth and adds profitability to the business,” said Ingleby.
