Zanussi’s new launch of appliances unveiled at this year’s kbb Show at Birmingham NEC represents “a step change in technology” for the brand which will help boost growth and market share, taking the appliance specialist “to the next level”, Electrolux General Manager UK & Ireland, Luke Harding, has told ERT.
This is the first new launch for Zanussi since 2012, and speaking exclusively to ERT Editor Jack Cheeseman at the show, Mr Harding said the new and simple technologies introduced in the new Bright range are all consumer-tested and answer a consumer need.
“This year is really exciting for AEG and Zanussi and we plan to take our growth to the next level with the Zanussi Bright launch, and with AEG we’re going to continue to see great growth and investment also. “We’re bringing functional, exclusive, smart design to the Zanussi brand.”
The Zanussi Bright collection of appliances comprises the following:
Built-in Ovens with AirFry technology (pictured top) – this technology is exclusive to Zanussi and allows users to make healthier, crispy and delicious meals, while eliminating the need for an expensive, bulky countertop appliance.
BoilAssist Induction hobs (pictured left) – these use a clever vibration sensor under the glass which detects when water reaches a rolling boil and reduces to a controlled simmer, meaning water never boils over.
Built-In Dishwashers with AirDry Technology – AirDry technology finishes each cycle with a breath of fresh air, performing three times better than the closed-door systems. The door opens automatically during the drying phase without having to lift a finger, and the air leaves the plates and cutlery completely dry.
Breeze Function on chimney hoods – some Zanussi chimney hoods now feature a discrete sound level at around 38DB. At the press of a button, the hood clears the space of unwanted cooking smells with power and efficiency, yet in virtual silence, Zanussi says.
Combi Bottoms Refrigeration – the new NoFrost range with its TwinTech® System in Zanussi’s improved refrigerator ranges promises to keep ingredients fresh, nutritious and flavourful. TwinTech uses two separate cooling zones to ensure that the perfect temperature and humidity is contained within the cavity. This keeps food fresher and crisper for longer. It also has NoFrost functionality meaning no defrosting.
Retro Refrigeraton – with design features inspired by mid-20th century kitchens, this range features both the Zanussi TwinTech® System and NoFrost technologies, keeping foods fresher for longer. Unlike other retro styles on the market, Zanussi’s Retro Refrigeration range, available in black, cream and red, is more affordable offering a wealth of extra technology to ensure optimum function in your kitchen, enviable style and unbeatable value. Zanussi claims.
Mr Harding added: “We’ve tested all this technology with consumers and so we know it all resonates. We have a great selection of retail partners and we work very closely with them across the board and we’re going to continue to invest heavily in those retail partners to ensure the product is driven in the right way.”
