Ex-Google man to help Hisense drive brand awareness

Electronics manufacturer Hisense UK has appointed Arun Bhatoye as senior marketing manager.

Following its successful sponsorship of the Uefa Euro 2016 Championship, the company now plans to continue its efforts to increase brand awareness in the UK – a goal that Hisense said is reflected in this appointment.

Mr Bhatoye (pictured) has almost a decade of experience in retail, specialising in marketing, communications, branding and retail operations. He joins Hisense from Google UK where he worked as its retail operations manager.

His background also includes brand management for Dixons Carphone Warehouse.

Hisense UK deputy managing director Howard Grindrod said: “This appointment signifies the clear objectives of Hisense UK as we continue to build awareness and cement our position in the UK marketplace. We are thrilled to welcome a new member to the team with such diverse experience across a wide range of projects. This year brand awareness has been central to our thinking in the UK and, by utilising Arun’s expertise, we are sure to maintain the momentum we have already created.”

The manufacturer said the appointment comes at “a time of exciting growth for Hisense in the UK”. It has just launched the second generation of its patented ULED screen technology with the announcement of the new M7000 TV.
