Dual turntables return to the UK

Leading German turntable manufacturer Dual has announced the relaunch of the brand in the UK.

The announcement comes as the vinyl revival is in full swing, with sales having risen 32 per cent year on year in 2015.

Dual was the brand leader in the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s until the arrival of CD put a dampener on turntable sales.

Nimans will handle distribution of the company’s products in the UK and sales will be managed by nationwide sales agency Big Red Sales.

The first products are available with immediate effect and retail prices will range from £70 to £300.

Richard Carter, sales director at Nimans, said: “We are delighted that Dual is entering the UK market again. UK electrical retailers have an exceptional sales reputation and we are excited to be tapping into this through Big Red Sales and their nationwide sales agency. I was proud to own a Dual turntable in 1979 and thus I am particularly pleased to be involved in the relaunch of the brand. We are confident that retailers will greatly appreciate the superb quality and sound of Dual products.”

Big Red Sales founder and director John Reddington added: “People who know me will appreciate that I am very much a ‘vinyl’ man, so handling sales for Dual in the UK is very exciting. And now, with the season looming ahead – and with all the young vinyl ‘converts’ getting into the groove – it could not be a better time to start selling the product.”
