Damion Templar becomes new MD of JURA UK

JURA UK has announced that Damion Templar is taking over as new Managing Director with effect from 1 April.

Mr Templar steps up from his role as Head of Sales UK and Ireland (Consumer Division) and he succeeds Roger Heap, who will be moving to a semi-retired position with some part-time consultancy responsibility.

In a statement, Andrew Thornber, Head of Finance and Operations at JURA Products Ltd, the UK affiliate of JURA premium bean-to-cup coffee machines and accessories, said: “We wish Roger well, thank him for his immense contribution, and welcome Damion to his new position.

“Damion is a highly experience Senior Account Manager with a 20-year track record within consumer durables, appliances and coffee.”

Mr Thornber also teased: “We look forward to an extremely exciting year ahead with something very special and very premium arriving mid-year.

Mr Templar said he is “thrilled” to be taking on his new role.

“I thank the owners of the business for offering me this fantastic opportunity. We’re going forward from really strong foundations within premium bean-to-cup, even in these uncertain and difficult times.

“Our business will take the opportunity to strengthen existing channels and seek out new and profitable partnerships – to promote growth and sustain profitability for years to come.”

JURA is once again a headline sponsor of the ERT Awards this year, which will return to London alongside the Turning Point Live! conference in October.

Since 1931, the Swiss company JURA Elektroapparate AG has been developing high-end household appliances. Today it is represented all over the world as one of the pioneers in the field of automatic espresso/coffee machines. Not long ago it also moved into semi-professional appliances for the office and foodservice sector.
