Birthday celebrations for Bluestem Group

Established in 1988, Bluestem Group started life as a distributor of pre-packed electrical accessories and domestic appliances under the name Pik-a-Pak Electrical, before starting the launch and acquisition of its own brands in 2002.

The company today is home to brands including Igenix, Statesman and Ewbank, offering a range of more than 300 products in such categories as SDA, cooling, heating, cooking, refrigeration, laundry and floorcare. Via Pik-a-Pak Distribution, Bluestem Group distributes many of the leading consumer brands including Ariete, Dualit, Russell Hobbs, Panasonic, Black & Decker and Tefal.

The Group is recognised in several categories at the ERT Awards 2021.

Having rebranded in autumn 2020, the group has given a real focus to new product development across its own brands in its first year under the Bluestem umbrella. 2021 has seen the launch of five new Statesman appliances including its very first American side-by-side fridge-freezer and heat pump tumble dryer. As well as this there have been 17 new additions to the SDA, refrigeration, heating and cooling ranges under the Igenix brand, and a collection of new Ewbank corded and cordless home cleaning products.

“Pik-a-Pak will always be a huge part of what we do and how we support the independent electrical sector,” said Rebecca Batchelor, Group Manager Bluestem Group, “however following the launch of Bluestem Group in 2020, we are now able to showcase the full scale of our business more effectively.

“We are not only a distributor – we are also a manufacturer, continuously developing our own brands which is vital for the future growth of the business.”
