Bang & Olufsen to open five new UK stores

Bang & Olufsen is to open five new stores in the UK.

The Danish high-end AV brand said the move was prompted by growing customer confidence and a desire for consumers to get to know the products first-hand from in-store experts.

The new stores will be located in Wilmslow, Cheshire; Sevenoaks and Canterbury in Kent, Bath in Somerset and Truro in Cornwall.

The expansion comes as the company celebrates its 90th anniversary.

Said Andrew Macer, Bang & Olufsen’s UK and Ireland sales manager (pictured): “Online has changed the retail landscape, but it’s never going to be enough for the discerning customer who wants to invest in high-quality audio.

“These consumers want to see, touch, and hear; they want to experience products before they commit to buying them, and they want to speak to experts who can help them get the most out of them. With five stores opening in the next few months, we’re making it easier for more UK music lovers to experience the Bang & Olufsen sound.”

Added Mr Macer: “The UK market is extremely important to our growth strategy and opening these new stores shows the renewed confidence in the brand within the UK market.

“Providing a quality and interactive customer experience is, and will continue to be, at the heart of Bang & Olufsen. While consumers can research our products online, feeling and testing them at a store will always be instrumental to Bang & Olufsen’s success. Having a local presence is absolutely key to making sure we have a strong customer experience.”
