Audio-Technica reveals new product ranges at CES

NEW AT CES

Audio-Technica has revealed an array of new products at this year’s CES, including headphones and turntables.

Its new flagship Bluetooth aptX HD-enabled ATH-DSR9BT over-the-ear headphones are the first to feature the company’s Pure Digital Drive technology, which keeps the original audio signal completely digital from source to driver. The headphones also won the CES Innovation 2017 award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

Its new AT-LP3 turntable (pictured) is described as a step up from Audio-Technica’s entry-level offering and is a sub-£200, fully-automatic belt-driven model, which is said to combine an enhanced audio performance with ease of use. The design is based on the brand’s award-winning AT-LP5 model.

Also introduced at CES was Audio-Technica’s LS ‘Live Sound’ series of in-ear headphones, which were designed in collaboration with world-renowned producers and musicians.

Audio-Technica claimed that listeners can experience the excitement and dynamics of a live concert with the ATH-LS70iS and ATH-LS50iS models.

As part of its ‘affordable’ range, Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-AR3BT and ATH-AR3iS headphones. The wired ATH-AR3iS has a sub-£100 price tag, while the ATH-AR3BT Bluetooth model offers wireless listening on the go.

Finally, Audio-Technica’s new VM cartridge series features nine models combined with three different cartridge bodies and seven different stylus shapes.
