Aqipa expands its brand portfolio

Aqipa, a European wide value-added distributor and house of brands for premium lifestyle consumer electronics, has been using the last few months during the COVID-19 crisis to strengthen itself with new brands in the areas of smart home and domestic appliances.

The changed environment during the Coronavirus crisis also opens up new opportunities for companies, as the Kundl-based Aqipa proves. The Aqipa Group was able to convince a number of brands in the past months to join and to trust in the sales and marketing competence of Aqipa.

Firstly, with the Dutch company Hombli, which is part of the avanca International Group, Aqipa was able to win over a real pioneer in the field of smart home. Hombli stands for ‘smart home for everyone’ and convinces with its easy handling. Therefore, each of the products can be installed, controlled and automated with a simple user-friendly app (like the smart doorbell pictured above).

Hombli is also compatible with the most common voice assistants like Google Voice Assistant, Siri or Amazon Alexa. No matter whether you want intelligent lighting or a fully automated smart home, with Hombli it is easy and can be done without a specialist.

Elsewhere, Chinese manufacturers have long since abandoned the reputation of cheap products and so there are more exciting brands from the Far East, which are pushing into the European market and convince not only through low prices, attractive dealer margins but also through appealing design and high quality. One of two new brands at Aqipa from China is Baseus. The company offers a product portfolio ranging from home appliances to smart vacuum cleaners (aka vacuum cleaner for the car becomes an air pump for the camping trip) to smart phone accessories and smart lighting. Aqipa now brings this exciting new brand in all European countries.

“I am pleased that we were able to use the crisis to win strong new brands in important growth areas,” commented Christian Trapl, Founder and CEO of Aqipa. “This shows that our investments in e-commerce, in the digitalisation and automation of our logistics and in increased competencies in merchandising and marketing are paying off and will be decisive for the further growth of the Aqipa Group.”
