Electrical Safety Council bids to boost RCD use | Back |

As part of its Plug into Safety campaign, the Electrical Safety Council (ESC) has introduced RCD information leaflets to persuade consumers to use residual current devices (RCDs).
“Currently, more than half of UK homes – that’s 13 million - don’t have adequate RCD protection in their consumer unit, or fusebox as it is more commonly known,” said ESC director-general Phil Buckle.
“We want to support the industry in leading the way in encouraging householders to install RCDs and take basic safety measures to ensure their homes and families are protected from the potential dangers of electricity.”
POS leaflets can be obtained from the ESC on 0870 040 0561. www.esc.org.uk/plugintosafety.
