Arqiva to roll out DAB EPG nationwide | Back |

Arqiva is to phase in electronic programme guide (EPG) services from technology company All in Media (AIM) to its Now Digital local DAB multiplexes nationwide.
The EPG will allow listeners to view weekly programmes on DAB sets, letting them browse, select and bookmark future listening.
“In the past, EPG has been available for a small number of stations on an ad hoc basis,” said AIM managing director Chris Gould.
“This investment in services and content by Arqiva greatly expands the stations offering an electronic programme guide to listeners.
“It’s good news for the industry and good news for consumers.”
AIM’s EPG software allows radio stations to quickly and easily deliver programme schedules to a range of platforms including online and mobile as well as DAB.
The deal with Arqiva makes AIM the world’s biggest supplier of DAB EPG systems to digital radio broadcasters.
It already supplies its EPG software to other countries broadcasting DAB and DAB+ radio, including Ireland and Australia.
