INDESIT CHALLENGE CUP 2007
Coventry Power League

Earlier in July, over 150 retailers and manufacturers battled it out under the summer sun at Coventry’s Power League for the coveted Indesit Challenge Cup. Hosted by ERT, the tournament consisted of 21 highly competitive teams playing throughout the day.  Sky TV1 were eventually crowned the champions after beating dmg world media (ERT’s publisher) in an entertaining final, winning 5-1.  Peter Shilton, the legendary England goalkeeper, was in attendance to pass on his congratulations and commiserations to these teams, as well as Electrolux and Indesit All-stars, where Electrolux took the plate after winning a tightly fought match that ended 4-3.  The day was a great success, with those involved already looking forward to next year’s competition.
