Smeg provides cafe with 'secret' doorway

Smeg secret door closed

Smeg used the door of one of its Fab retro-style fridges to provide a “secret” doorway to a bar in a new branch of The Breakfast Club café chain close to London’s Liverpool Street station.

The secret Mayor of Scaredy Cat bar is reached by walking through the disguised Smeg fridge doorway (pictured above and below).

It has proved a hit with customers and given rise to thousands of “tweets” on Twitter.

Smeg has also supplied real Fab retro-style fridges to all four branches of the café chain which features vintage trappings from the 1950s-1990s, including old-fashioned TVs and rustic tables and chairs.
