Audio company Pure chose the CES technology show in Las Vegas (January 10-13) to unveil its new brand identity, as well as two innovative new products - the Contour 200i Air iPod, iPhone and iPad dock with Apple AirPlay and the Sensia 200D Connect wireless internet, DAB and FM radio.

The colourful new brand identity also features an updated logo and is designed to tie in with the company's tenth anniversary, which it is celebrating this year.

"In the past 10 years, Pure has evolved from a relatively niche UK radio manufacturer to an internationally recognised consumer electronics brand. To launch Pure into its next decade, we felt it was time to take the brand to the next level, building on our strengths from the past 10 years, but also reflecting the exciting future ahead," said Paul Smith, Pure's general manager.

Pure's new Contour 200i Air wireless audio system with Apple's AirPlay technology allows the user to play their music wirelessly via a PC, Mac, iPhone or iPod Touch without the need to dock the device.

Retailing for £199.99, the product, which will be available from next month, not only supports wireless streaming, but also includes a dock for iPad, iPhone and iPod for charging, as well as music playback. It is also the company's first non-DAB product.

"It is pretty complicated to integrate AirPlay and DAB technology, so we decided to keep the interface simple. Contour 200i Air users can listen to the radio through our Pure Lounge app, which enables access to tens of thousands of internet radio stations," said Colin Crawford, Pure's director of marketing.

Pure was also using CES to preview its Sensia 200D Connect wireless music system (internet, DAB and FM radio) with a colour touchscreen. The follow-up to the company's Sensia product features streaming capabilities and is equipped with Pure Music - Pure's Cloud-based, on-demand music service - and Pure Tag technology to bookmark tracks heard on the radio.

Launching in April, the Sensia 200D Connect wireless music system will retail for £249.99.
