Maplin promises to cut delivery time to 90 minutes | Back |

Maplin, the retail electronics giant, has today signed a deal with online delivery service Shutl that promises to deliver a product to shoppers’ homes within just 90 minutes of it being ordered.
Maplin’s online customers can choose to have their orders delivered within 90 minutes or within a convenient one-hour delivery window, from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week.
The new service will be available to 60 per cent of the UK’s online shoppers – those whose postcodes fall within the area of the qualifying 83 stores - with a further 21 stores to be added in spring.
Said internet project manager for Maplin, Gareth Pownall: “This new partnership with Shutl will give our customers an even better access to our range of 15,000 products. Maplin is the first retailer to embed the Shutl delivery options with the checkout process, and with delivery starting from only £5, the service represents great value for money.”
Other retailers which use the Shutl service are Argos, Oasis, Cost, Karen Millen and Warehouse and all promise the fastest and most convenient delivery options across the country.
