| 05 March 2010 BSkyB is to create more than 500 jobs at a new call centre in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Sky News reported. The centre will be opened in June to meet increased demand for Sky’s services, said the broadcaster. It already has centres in Livingston, Dunfermline, Uddington, Leeds, Osterley and Shepton Mallet. In a statement, Sky said: “There will be a wide variety of opportunities on offer from customer service roles through to training, coaching and HR.” It added: “The new site was chosen following extensive research across the UK, based on the availability of highly-skilled, customer-focused employees.” Sky already employs around 16,000 people in the UK and Ireland. | |
