| New UK structure for Tannoy | |
| 04 March 2010 Following the creation of a new market strategy across the Americas, the TC Group has brought it over here for all its brands – including Tannoy, TC Electronic, TC Helicon, Blue Microphones, Dynaudio Acoustics, Lab.gruppen and Lake. In Europe, the importance of Tannoy’s residential loudspeaker brand means it will operate largely autonomously. For Tannoy retailers in the UK, it is business as usual through Icon Distribution UK with only invoicing and credit control going through the new TC Group International (TCGI) organisation. The group has also appointed Tim Lount (pictured) as vice-president of residential sales and marketing. “By creating a dedicated residential team everything from new product development to marketing initiatives and retail support will benefit from a cohesive and targeted end-to-end strategy,” Mr Lount said. “We aim to build even stronger working relationships with our loyal Tannoy retailers by improving the consistency of supply of our loudspeaker ranges and allowing access to a wider range of products from the TC Group of companies.” He added: “This is a very exciting time in Tannoy’s 80-plus year history, particularly for our residential loudspeaker business.” The company promises “a host” of new residential loudspeakers this year. At the very top-end of the residential range it will unveil a new c.£35,000 per pair flagship loudspeaker at the Munich High-End show in May. | |
