OMNIMOUNT has launched a range of wall mounts that can hold screens up to 70in and weighing up to just over 90kg.

The three-model VideoBasics range is said to have an ultra-low 19mm mounting profile, which, says OmniMount, is just far enough from the wall to allow for easy connectivity, while still allowing for proper cooling.

The mounts are said to be easy to install and are available in three sizes – VFM, VFL and VFX – to carry flat panels from 23in to 70in and weights up to 90.7kg. Prices are around £55, £65 and £80 respectively.

Made from heavy-grade steel, the mounts have all been UL listed. This means that they have been tested and approved to hold more than four times their published weight capacity, OmniMount claims.

“With panels getting lighter and thinner, we saw the need for a complementary mounting solution,” said Alex Robertson, OmniMount senior vice-president of sales and marketing.

“By coupling this appropriately thin design with an installer-friendly single wall plate, we expect installers and consumers alike to love this new offering.”
