TEAC has introduced a space-saving iPod docking CD micro component DAB/AM/FM receiver, designated the CR-H258i.

Measuring 215 x 110 x 359mm (W x H x D), it has a USB/SD/iPod interface and offers playback on CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 disc, SD card or USB memory files.

Features include a tri-band digital tuner and 25W per channel amplifier with video outputs in both S-video and composite video from an iPod docking station.

Teac offers its own DS-20 iPod docking station, available separately for £40, finished in black. A remote control unit controls iPod functions.

This black-liveried machine also offers DAB/AM/FM RDS radio reception with preset station memory along with clock and timer functions.

The CR-H258i retails at around £250.
