Freesat has announced that it will show every race, ceremony and tie breaker at next month’s Winter Olympics in HD for free on the BBC HD Channel.

Kicking off with the grand opening ceremony on February 12, the BBC HD channel will be following events right the way through to the finals.

The games will feature all the favourites from the Winter sports schedule including alpine skiing, snowboarding, bobsleighing and the exhilarating ski jump.

What’s more there are high hopes among the 50+ athletes who’ll be flying the British flag in Vancouver.

In addition, Freesat is offering a whole host of top-tier live sports in HD throughout the coming year – completely subscription free.

The World Cup, Rugby Six Nations, Golf Masters and Wimbledon will all be available on the BBC HD Channel, with the FA Cup, England World Cup internationals and UEFA Champions League matches over on ITV1 HD too.
