PROTECTIVE storage bags for iPods, MP3 players and music phones that double as speakers have been introduced by Headfunk under the Sidekick name.

The bags, with built-in amplifier and stereo metal-cone speakers, are said to offer durable portable protection to those who want to share their music.

A karabiner clip allows users to attach the Sidekick to a bag strap or belt. A 3.5mm universal headphone jack is also supplied although batteries (the product requires two AA batteries) are not.

Available in three camouflage colours, the Sidekick sells for around £24.99.
